Daniel D. Rhoads

08/22/1941 - 01/23/2012    Daniel D. Rhoads 70 of Duncannon passed away peacefully Monday, January 23, 2012 at Harrisburg Hospital.

He was a Navy Vietnam Veteran, retired from PLCB, and worked part time at Mutzabaughs Market Duncannon.

He was a lifetime member of the Duncannon VFW post 255 and Duncannon American Legion post 340, a member of the Duncannon Fire Company, and social member of the Ambulance Association.

Daniel enjoyed Relaxing on his front porch, attending auctions, and was an avid Indiana Hoosier basketball fan.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Barbara J. Rhoads of Duncannon, 6 sons Charles S. Rhoads and wife Betty of New Bloomfield, Daniel R. Rhoads and wife Trish of New Bloomfield, Kevin M. Rhoads and wife Jamie of Indiana, Christopher A. Rhoads and wife Caryn of Loysville, Jonathan M. Rhoads and wife Rose of Shermans Dale, and Shawn M. Rhoads and wife Sherry of Newport, one brother David L. Rhoads of TN., one sister Mildred Smith of California, 19 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Cornerstone Christian Church 595 New Bloomfield Rd. Duncannon, PA 17020. Visitation will be held from 12 PM until time of service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association 1019 Mumma Rd Suite 100 Lemoyne, PA 17043, or American Cancer Society 3211 N. Front St. Suite 100 Harrisburg, PA 17110.
