Susan Kroah Giblin
Susan Kroah Giblin, 46, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 27th, 2010, at the Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of her high school sweetheart, Michael E. Giblin.
Born in Harrisburg, Susan was a graduate of CD East High School, HACC, and Wilson College. She held degrees both as a Paralegal and as a Certified Veterinary Technician. She was employed as a tech at the Boiling Springs Animal Hospital.
As one of Central PA's greatest friends to cast-off and wayward animals, Susan was a 17 year volunteer at the Helen O. Krause Animal Foundation, and served as its medical coordinator for nearly a decade.
In addition to her husband of 21 years, Susan is survived by her parents William Kroah and Sandra Gillespie, her brother William Kroah Jr., her grandmother Gladys Kroah, 8 nieces and nephews, her extended family of Giblins & Facklers, her beloved cats Gustav, Leonardo, Boris, & Strummer, and all the residents of the HOKAFI Animal shelter.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 30th, at the Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut St., Harrisburg. A visitation will precede the service at 2:00 PM.
