Marcette A. Lentz Marcette A. Lentz, 86, of Greenbelt, MD, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday at Cherry Lane Nursing Center, Laurel, MD.
She was born in Baltimore, MD on March 30th, 1923 to the late William and Zula Brady Lentz.
In 1958 Marcette became an elementary teacher at Prince Georges County School Systems and became an Art Specialist from which she retired in 1983. She received her Bachelors of Art from George Washington University. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, member of the Maryland Art Education Association were she served as Secretary for many years and was the recipient of the Outstanding Service Award in 1983 from MAEA. She was a member of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiast and various Maryland Art Leagues; was nominated for the award as Outstanding Teacher in Prince Georges County Schools. She lived in Greenbelt, MD for 40 years.
Surviving are several cousins.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 26th at 12 pm at the Shoop's Cemetery.
