Mary Butler Leevan
Mary Butler Leevan, 92, of Susquehanna Township and formerly of Springfield, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2010 in the Colonial Park Care Center.
She was born on October 27, 1917 in Chadds Ford, PA to the late William and Emma (Talley) Butler.
She was retired from Lerner Stores as a store manager at the Upper Darby location.
She was a former member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Broomall, PA.
She was a member of the Silver Sneakers Program at Platinum Fitness Center on Jonestown Road in Harrisburg.
Surviving are her husband Allen Leevan, a son Mark A. Leevan and his wife Susan of Susquehanna Township, a grandson Paul A. Leevan, 3 sisters, Lillian Weekes of Macungie, Irene Redden of Chester Heights, Henrietta Coulbourn of Quarryville, and a sister-in-law Eleanor Butler of Chester Heights. She was preceded in death by her sisters Mildred Zebley, Helen Teat, and Esther Journey, and her brothers Harry (Ted) Butler, Robert Butler and William Butler.
Funeral services will be held at 12pm (Noon) on Thursday, January 7, 2010 in the
Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut St. Susquehanna Township. Burial will be in Shoops Garden of Rest Cemetery, Lower Paxton Township.
Viewing will be from 11am until 12pm (Noon) on Thursday in the funeral home.
