Gerard J. "Jerry" Complese, Sr.
Gerard J. "Jerry" Complese, Sr., 98, of Harrisburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at home. Jerry Complese was born in Farindola, Italy and was the son of Carmine and Francesca (Napoletano) Camplese. In his earlier years he owned a shoe repair business in Harrisburg, and owned an auto repair shop in Steelton. He also was considered among his peers as one of the best auto repair body men and auto painter in the area. He was a veteran of WW II, where he served with the U.S. Army. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting and long walks in the country. Being with his family was what made him the happiest. He was the widower of Merle (Stahl) Complese. Jerry is survived by 3 daughters, Fran Huffman and husband, Jim, of Dauphin, Neylene Complese and husband, Chris, of Harrisburg, Debby Complese of Harrisburg; a son, Jerry Complese, Jr. and wife, Terry, of Lemoyne; a sister, Pam Blough; he was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 31, 2010 in the Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut St., Susquehanna Township, with Rev. Father Jose Mera Vallejos officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Harrisburg. Viewing will be from 10am until 11am on Saturday in the funeral home. To send condolences please go to hetrickfuneralhome.com.
